Buyer's guide — no names, no games

How to choose a mini-split dealer in Oklahoma: 7 questions to ask before you buy.

Nobody's named here — this isn't about one company. It's the checklist we wish every buyer ran before handing over money, because most of the heartbreak stories we hear could have been avoided with question #3.

The checklist

Ask every seller these 7 questions.

Print it, screenshot it, read it off your phone in the parking lot. A good dealer answers all seven straight. A bad one dodges #3 and #6.

1️⃣

1) Do they answer the phone?

Call during business hours — a real person should pick up. If you get a call center or a voicemail maze before they have your money, imagine what happens after.

✅ Our answer: call or text 405-816-2995 — Mon–Fri 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM, and 7 days by call or text — a real person at a real store picks up.

2️⃣

2) Can you visit a real local store?

A warehouse address on a website isn't a store. If you can walk in, see the unit with your own eyes, and drive out with it the same day, that's a real local business.

✅ Our answer: 4617 SE 15th St, Del City, OK — walk in, see it, take it home today.

3️⃣

3) Is the warranty in writing — 5-year repair-or-replacement?

Most sellers hand you a parts warranty: they mail you a part and you're on your own to figure out what's wrong and pay somebody to install it. That's not a warranty, that's a parts catalog. Ask it straight: for five full years, who repairs it, who pays for the repair, and what happens if it can't be repaired?

✅ Our answer: we send a technician we pay to repair it. Can't repair it? Free replacement — including removing the old unit. Even if you installed it yourself.

4️⃣

4) Is professional installation mandatory, or can you DIY?

Some sellers won't sell you the box unless you also buy their installation. If you're handy — or you've got your own tech — that should be your call, not theirs. And watch the fine print: some warranties quietly die the day you install it yourself.

✅ Our answer: no install required, ever. DIY it or hire your own tech — the 5-year warranty covers you either way.

5️⃣

5) Are prices transparent and starting-at?

If every price is 'call for pricing,' you're the price — the number moves depending on who asks. Published starting-at prices mean everybody gets the same deal, and you can comparison-shop in thirty seconds.

✅ Our answer: 9,000 BTU units starting at $349 + tax, published right on the site. Call for today's exact price and availability — two minutes.

6️⃣

6) Who does the warranty work — a local tech or a 1-800 number?

This is where warranties go to die. Ask exactly who shows up when it breaks: a local technician the seller pays, or a national call center that ships you a part and wishes you luck? One of those is a warranty. The other is a box of parts with a phone number.

✅ Our answer: a local tech, on our dime. You make one call — we handle the rest.

7️⃣

7) What happens if it breaks in year 3?

This is the one that separates sellers from order-takers. Year three, middle of August, the unit quits. Do you get a technician at their expense — or a parts diagram and a 'good luck'? Make them answer it before you pay, not after.

✅ Our answer: same as day one — we fix it or we replace it free, for five full years.

The warranty, in one paragraph

Five years. We pay the tech. Free replacement if it can't be fixed.

In Rob's own words:

“If you ever have an issue for five years, we send a technician out that we pay to repair it. If they can't repair it, they replace it free of charge — including removing and replacing the old unit. Even if you installed it yourself.”
  • No questions asked — one call starts the claim
  • We pay the technician — not you
  • Can't fix it? Free replacement, removal included
  • DIY installs fully covered
